About Davis' Mega Maze

Davis' Mega Maze is drafted in England by Adrian Fisher, the world's leading maze designer. Mr. Fisher has designed hundreds of mazes for castles, palaces, and visitor attractions around the globe and holds 7 Guinness World Records. Since designing the world's first cornfield maze, Adrian has created a number of "Signature Series" maize-mazes each year. These creations include the finest field maze in the United States at Davis' Mega Maze.

2008 marks the 11^th maze at Davis' Mega Maze. Each year, the maze is brand new, returning to a mere field at season's end. Past themes have included (in order) Double-Dragons, Pirates, Aliens, Dinosaurs, Spies, Knights, the Wild West, Superheroes, the Great Movie Maze and Lost Vegas. (link to past year photos)

This year's maze is unrivaled in terms of complexity. It contains miles of pathways, the most bridges in any field maze and includes the world's first and only double-decker bridge. As if that didn't make it complex enough, Davis' Mega Maze is the only field maze in the world that has the capacity to change every day. There are hundreds of ways to complete the maze and the experience will never be the same twice.

Davis' Mega Maze is carefully planned and constructed by the Davis farmers. Over 12,800 labor hours are required to create this living sculpture each year before opening day. Crews include research, concept, art, filming, site development, field cultivators and crop specialists, set builders and designers, system coordinators, and the "action team" that carves the maze.
